Our Distinguished Citizens,

Dear Chinese Friends,

I assumed my duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the People's Republic of China as of 1 August 2025.

Türkiye and China, as two great civilizations with profound historical and cultural heritage, have been interacting for centuries.

At a time when relations between our countries have gained significant momentum in almost all areas and high-level mutual visits have intensified, I am proud and happy to be posted to the People's Republic of China, one of the world's ancient civilizations and emerging powers.

The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Türkiye and the People's Republic of China were established 54 years ago, on 4 August 1971. Our bilateral relations, which have elevated to the level of "Strategic Cooperation" in 2010, are multifaceted and comprehensive, encompassing every aspect from economy to trade, culture to education, tourism to joint transportation projects.

We will continue to strengthen our cooperation with the People's Republic of China in areas such as trade, energy, civil aviation, tourism, education, and culture. In this context, we welcome the recent agreement to increase passenger flights between Türkiye and the People's Republic of China to 49 weekly frequencies. Likewise, we are glad to witness that the flow of tourists and students between the two countries are increasing day by day.

On various occasions, Türkiye and the People's Republic of China have proven that they are "friends indeed at times of need" by standing in solidarity during difficult times. The fact that the two countries were among the first to extend a helping hand to each other during the pandemics and natural disasters in recent years is the most concrete evidence.

Throughout my tenure, I hope to be in close cooperation and mutual interaction with all of you. In addition to our Embassy, you are always welcome to our Consulates General in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.

On this occasion, I extend my most heartfelt regards to all of you.
