I stand before you today with a sense
of optimism and excitement.

Our gathering here represents not only a momentous occasion but also a testament to the strong and historical ties
between Türkiye and China.

Building upon our centuries long relations, today, we are forging a new era of cooperation.

As we explore opportunities in the field of medicine and medical
equipment, let me initially reflect on our
bilateral trade and economic relations.

Over the years, the economic partnership between Türkiye and China has witnessed remarkable growth.Our
bilateral trade volume reached 45 billion Dollars as of 2022, listing China as Türkiye’s largest trading
partner in Asia.

The Belt and Road Initiative,
which promotes connectivity and cooperation, is a prime example of our
collaborative efforts.

Our strategic location at the
crossroads of Asia and Europe positions Türkiye as a significant partner for China in reaching global markets.

Our Minister of Transportation
and Infrastructure will be visiting Beijing next week on the occasion of the Belt and Road Summit. I am confident that his visit will bring about fruitful
outcomes.

Turning our attention to the field
of medicine and medical equipment, we find an array of exciting opportunities.

The global healthcare
industry is undergoing a profound
transformation.

In this context, China's
healthcare sector has seen substantial growth and reform, offering immense
potential for collaboration.

Turkish medicine companies on the other hand,
have earned a reputation for excellence
and innovation.

This makes them ideal partners
for addressing the needs for high-quality healthcare products and services.

Our companies are well-positioned
to contribute to the advancement of healthcare in China.

I therefore encourage you all to
explore these opportunities with enthusiasm.

Türkiye boasts a thriving
pharmaceutical industry and a wealth of expertise in medical research and
innovation.

Meanwhile, thanks to its unique geographic location, climate and plant
diversity, Türkiye offers significant
potential to the medicinal and aromatic plant market.

Türkiye is home to a vast variety
of herbal products that are used in the Chinese traditional medicine.

China ranks second in the
world in terms of pharmaceuticals expenditures.

Türkiye’s medical equipment
manufacturers also produce
state-of-the-art devices that can significantly enhance the healthcare
infrastructure here in China.

From pharmaceuticals and medical devices to telemedicine solutions and
digital health technologies, the possibilities
for collaboration are vast.

Number of drug approval applications
submitted in China in 2021 reached almost
12.000.I believe my friend Paul and
his colleague Me Zhang will elaborate on
what sort of innovative and facilitating opportunities does Hainan BOAO Lecheng
offer to Medicine and medical equipment producer companies.
