Today, we come together to celebrate a moment
of profound significance in the history of Türkiye, the Victory Day, observed on August 30th.

The Victory
Day commemorates the anniversary of the
Battle of Dumlupınar, a turning
point in the Turkish War of
Independence.

Under the strong leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk,
the meticulously planned and executed offensive brought the success of the Turkish forces.

This was not only a military achievement.

It was also an
important milestone that led the way
for the future recognition of Türkiye as an independent republic.

We commemorate with deepest sympathy, respect and gratitude all our heroes who gifted
us this victory, especially commander-in-chief and founder of our republic Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms and all our martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for our country.
May their souls rest in peace.

Distinguished Guests,

The Victory Day is not only about honoring our history. It
is also a day for appreciating our
present and looking forward to a future of continued peace, progress and
prosperity.

Türkiye,
wholeheartedly follows the motto of
Atatürk, “Peace at home,peace in the
world”.

On the other
hand, our country is also fully aware of the need to make sacrifices for the sake of peace when necessary.

This is why
we have built one of the strongest
armies in the world, in fact the second
largest in NATO.

Thanks to its human power, high combat-readiness, vast experience,
technological edge and ability to adapt, the Turkish Armed Forces successfully defends our country and strives for lasting peace and stability both
within and outside our borders.

It is an exemplary stakeholder in international peacekeeping missions
such as the UN, proudly representing our nation.

Turkish
Armed Forces is also our national pride
in our fight against terrorism.

Terrorism is not a problem of a single
country but a global threat. And we
are determined to destroy it at its
source, whether within or outside our borders.

Türkiye has
also made significant and promising strides
in its defense industry.

We have fortified our naval, land and air elements
with approximately 80% domestic
equipment.

Turkish UAVs and armed-UAVs are
playing a game-changer role in the region
and beyond.

Notable examples include the Altay Main Battle Tank, the Bayraktar TB2
UAV, TAI TF Kaan fighter jet and the Hürjet training and light attack aircraft.

In this way,
our armed forces have become fully capable of undertaking various tasks in different geographies.

Those who speculate about Türkiye's ability and capacity
as well as its determination to activate its capabilities when necessary,
we invite them to think twice.

In line with
our policy of peace, we have pioneered mediation
efforts since the beginning of the Ukraine war. We also took effective initiatives
such as the Black Sea Grain Deal,
preventing a global food crisis.

We will continue to make the necessary
contributions for the establishment of a peaceful political solution in Ukraine.

With the
same understanding, we have rendered
great effort to end the devastating
humanitarian tragedy in Gaza since the beginning.

Today, Palestinians are being deprived of their most basic needs such as
food, water and medicine. We cannot deny that the inhuman acts in the last 10 months carried out against innocent
civilians have amounted to genocide.

We will
continue conducting all means of diplomacy to end this catastrophe and reach a two-state solution in line with UN
Security Council Resolutions.

Dear guests,

Taking this
opportunity, I would like to touch on the
consolidating relations between Türkiye and China.

Building on
our deep-rooted and friendly bilateral
relations, we are establishing closer
cooperation in various areas.

One prominent area in this vein is military cooperation.

I wish to
express my appreciation for the close
collaboration between Turkish and
Chinese military authorities and our readiness
to further deepen our engagement in
this regard.

With these
thoughts, I would like to thank you for joining
us in celebrating this important day
and for sharing our pride.
